Who are we?

MissingScout stands for an all European co-operation of various initiatives, organziations and persons who all dedicate their time to the search of missing people. Our members work in different areas and contribute to a multi-faceted field of knowledge.

The MissingScout-work group consists of volunteers specializing in varied fields. Our reward is the success, compassion is our motivation.

Why?

The collective experience proves that even the best planned action will find its limits if the collaboration between similar organizations, law enforcement and the public doesn't work. That's where we step in.

We're looking for efficient ways to sensitize people for a touchy topic. We consider it important that politicians don't just talk but act accordingly. We do believe in our motto "One missing person is one too many".

What's our ambition?

You just learned that you were adopted and you're looking for your birth parents now? Your aunt vanished without a trace? There's a case of a missing loved one that dates way back so it's slipping out of the police's focus? You assume you might have stepped on crucial information and want to check a fact before acting? There are many reasons why we might miss a person and/or want to find someone.

But there are just as many search engines available on the internet. They each work differently, not all are reliable and some demand an unwarranted amount of data from you before you get to search... MissingScout builds an extensive data base which allows you to serach beyond borders - in an uncomplicated user-friendly fashion. One search gets published by a number of websites, reaches its deserved media presence more easily and thus creates a lobby for the missing people.

The fate of missing persons (and their families) touches us - these people need and deserve our support!
